I found this fantastic series through a retweet on Twitter and I must say I love it! I have read through everything you have done so far in one sitting. The artwork is fantastic and the cliffhanger is gripping!

Gorgeous illustration. She looks so beautiful and sexy. And the play on words is nice with the sexual overtones. I love the look of the clouds in the background. And her clothes being rumpoly is a nice realistic touch.

Personally I try to approach print and web comics the same way, in terms of giving them adequate attention. When creators of other web comics I read pose questions after posting a page, I try to respond if I have some to say. I'll keep the fact that you're looking for more comments in mind as I continue to follow the comic. And I'm glad it's back by the way, congrats!

The issue with presenting deeper work online has nothing to do with 'old school readers' vs 'surfer mosquitoes'. If you sit down on your couch with a comic and read it through you can follow a complex, deep and interconnected story easily. If you read one page at a time over the course of years by the time the story is finished you have forgotten far too much of the detail to appreciate the whole story, the experience is fragmented. There are plenty of web comics out there going for something more than gag-a-day and they're all affected to some degree, but your once a month (or less) update schedule makes it particularly difficult. I suspect there are a lot of readers who won't recommend Maya to their friends until it's done, simply because our friends might read through the archives but definitely wouldn't stick around at the current rate of progress.

Chris, I really like the work I've seen, but as Frood said, It is hard to get into and comment with no more than you have up. It's impossible to go back and restart, but if you had a larger amount of pages up, and/or a more frequent updating schedule, you would develop a much larger following. I continue to vote for Maya on TWC, but I'm sure that many who drop by give up out of frustration over these issues. I'm stubborn, however, and keep checking in occasionally, hoping to be rewarded for my perseverance.
I wish you well, my friend. Keep pluggin away.

In this case Frood is quite right.
I really like the comic so far, but it is a long time between updates. It's hard for most people to pay attention to something for a long period of time when there is no update. (this being the 'instant gratification generation' and all) I like reading about the comic, and there is another comic that hasn't updated in a while, but I keep checking and hoping. I will keep following the story for as long as Maya is on the web too.

I'm with Frood on this one.
It's difficult to judge anything that has barely begun but I like what I see and will continue to follow for as long as MAYA in on the web.
